To paraphrase John F. Kennedy’s line from his inaugural speech as president of America on January 20, 1961, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,”

“Ask not what your community can do for you -

ask what you can do for your community”

For all those who enjoy gardening and would like to maintain the flower beds in Woodthorpe Park’s gardens by keeping them free from weeds etc., why not come along and join in with the Friends of Woodthorpe Park and be part of the team that meets on Saturday mornings outside the Grange at 11am for what has become a regular Saturday morning “two hour” session.

See below the work that is carried out by the Friends. It is amazing what can been achieved in the space of just two hours. Apart from that, there is a real sense of satisfaction that you have done a good job that benefits the community.

Join the Team - Volunteers made most Welcome!
